Shreveport Chicks With Sticks... "It's A Yarn Thing"

About the group:

We strarted meeting in the spring of 2006 with the idea of learning and being inspired by oneanother. We are still going strong! We are a positive group intent on sharing our ability and talent with others.

Meetings: :: The 2nd Wednesday and 2nd Thursday of each month at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch of the Shreve Memorial Library, 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop Shreveport, LA 71118. The meeting starts at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and 5:00 pn on Thursday until the library closes, which varies depending on the time of year .

We meet at the West Shreveport Branch of the Shreve Memorial Library every Saturday at 11:30 am

The North Caddo Vivian Branch of Shreve Memorial Library hosts us the 4th Tuesday of each month begining at 5:30pm.

If you have years of experience or just thought it might be fun to learn, come!

Show off your work

Ladies,

I need to turn in our work this weeked. Jody and Sharon are the only two who have given me anything.

We have been given two display cases for two months.

If you have something you would like to display bring it to the West Shreveport branch library Saturday @11:30.

My plans are to bring everything over to the HSC branch after that meeting.

Anyone who would like to come with is welcome.

Filling the Display Case @ HSC branch library

We need to start collecting for the display case at the HSC branch library. We display in February and March. You will get your items back. Please pin your name to the article so I know who to give them back too. We have two cases. Don't be shy.

Scren Printing Shirts, Sweatshirts, Canvas Bags etc.

I went to wal mart this morning. They have red green and white sweat shirts in the Christmas sections of the womens department for$5.00. I picked up a red one and will probably go back for a green one to put the "Chicks" logo on. If you would like to have a shirt , sweat shirt, canvas bag or whatever screened with the log just get it in this month along with $5. I will turn our things in the first week of February.

Honoring Our Seniors 2011

This years campaign was a sucess! Melinda received a thank you note from the Vivian Nursing Home. All your efforts paid off. Just look at the faces of the people you worked so hard to please. I would say you did it. Be sure and thank Melinda and let her know if you will be able to continue this project into 2012.
